Children vs Evil Mutant Hamsters – complete story
Duy has finished this “book” for a while now but as we haven’t got round to translate it, we have been postponing the ‘publication’. Today we thought it would be a shame not to share this with everyone so here it is.
CHILDREN v.s EVIL MUTANT HAMSTERS
by Duy Huynh 8 yrs old
On a planet called Firestre, in a lab there was a bottle with a strange liquid chemical inside it. It was created by Prof.Dark and it was predicted by Prof.Dark that it would change any victim into a terrifying monster! Dark fed the chemical to ten stolen hamsters and they all started to grow!
“Yes! Now I just have to wait for the right time to unleash them! Mwahahahaha!”
Chapter 1 – A strange yesterday for Aroxa
2 ½ light years away was a small, peaceful planet called Aroxa. Today was a usual day for Aroxa, two bright suns out in the sky, a gentle breeze. What could possibly go wrong? Nothing! But three orphaned kids certainly didn’t think so. Jast, Ible and Silt all shared the same feeling that something wierd happened. The three children called themselves the super three which was true because Jast can shoot ice, Silt can shoot fire and Ible shoots water! They didn’t use their powers much because whenever they used them they got a little bit tired. Well anyway, Ible spotted a newspaper dropped on the floor.
“Jast, get that newspaper!” said Ible.
“Get it yourself!” protested Jast.
“Calm down guys! I’ll get it.” said Silt.
“Don’t burn it!” warned Ible.
“I won’t!” snapped Silt. “Hey! It’s yesterdays!”
Everybody crowded around it and it read: At 0900, 6 people disappeared without a trace at Drankfurst house…
All three of them were thinking the same thing: why didn’t anybody panic?
Chapter 2 – A little snoop
“Trace or no trace I’m going to sneak around at Drankfurst House!” said Silt.
“Me too.” agreed Jast.
“And me.” whispered Ible.
So at 0900 pm they crept to the brown, open gate of Drankfurst House and sneaked into the living room.
“I remember this place, I’ve been here before.” whispered Ible to Silt.
“I haven’t found anything!” moaned Jast from the other room. Then Silt had a simple idea. He gestured them to come closer.
“I have an idea, why don’t we go together, we’ll get through the rooms much quicker?” suggested Silt.
Jast ignored him and focused carefully on the floor.
“It might be worth a tr-”. That was all Ible got to say when Silt butted in and said “Hey! What are you looking at Jast?”
Chapter 3 – On the track
“Just some clawmarks.” replied Jast.
Everyone crowded around them and looked carefully.
“Should we follow them?” suggested Ible.
“Er….Yeah! It might lead us to a clue.” replied Silt
So they all followed them until it came to a closed, red door. Jast was about to open it when Ible warned “I don’t remember this door.
There was just a wall here, be careful it might be dangerous.” But Jast ignored her and opened the door anyway.
Behind the door was a swirling pool of light!
“Shall I touch it?” asked Jast. Hesitating for a moment, Silt said, “No. But I think it might be a portal.”
“What’s a portal?” asked Ible.
“It transports somebody without moving anywhere.” replied Silt. Jast was about to say something when Silt said, “We can’t try it now, it’s late. We’ll try it tomorrow when we’ve had some sleep.”
Chapter 4 – The first person through the portal
That night Jast couldn’t sleep. He also couldn’t stop thinking about the portal. Questions kept popping up and however hard he tried he couldn’t find the answers for any. Finally curiosity got the better of him and he crept away from the comfy bushes that he called ‘’home’’. Down the dark alleys, through the gate and the traceless rooms and through the portal. On the other side was a white corridor. Jast didn’t know this but he was in Prof. Dark’s Evil lab! Luckily Dark was on holiday.
“Hurry up guys!” growled a gruff voice. Jast wanted to find out who it was so with a flick of his wrist, he covered the floor with a sheet of ice! The owner of the gruff voice slipped and fell. Jast could see it was a kind of hamster!
“What’s your name?” asked the owner of the gruff voice with as much curiosity as Jast.
“My name is Jast.” replied Jast.
“My name’s Ratch and I’m the leader of a hamster gang and I’ve got six prisoners to lock up so push off” growled Ratch.
Jast was so scared that he ran through the portal and all the way back to his comfy bush!
Chapter 5 – “The Portal’s busy” plan
That morning Jast told Silt and Ible what had happened and they agreed that at 0700 they would explore the white corridors and they called it “The Portal’s busy” plan because all of them would go through this time. So, at 0700pm they made their way to the portal and into the corridors. Just then Ible found a map on the floor and realized that it was a map of this place. She told Jast and Silt about it and showed it to them. Jast noticed that in the corner of the map it said
Secret Evil Lab
Located: Sector 7
Galaxy: Doom Vortex
Pointing at the word “Firestre” Jast asked”How do you say this?”.
“Firestre.” replied Silt “And it’s got 78 sectors and it’s 2.5 light years away and…”
“And we don’t need to know that Mr. I just swallowed a boring Encyclopaedia!” interrupted Jast.
Chapter 6 – Ible! Captured!
“Hey, I’ve just heard a noise over there!” pointed Ible.
“Let’s go and investigate it” suggested Jast.
Just behind the corner was a gruff voice!
“Hey! I recognise that voice, it’s the one belonging to Ratch!” whispered Jast.
“Quick, hide behind the corner!” whispered Silt.
“They might miss us!”
But they were wrong!
“I can smell a scrumptious smell just behind the corner!” growled Ratch.
The EMH gang skidded around the corner just in time to see three figures running away!
The chase was on!
Jast shot down a layer of ice and Silt made it boiling. Then Ible shot some water onto the floor so the hamsters were charging into an extremely slippery layer of hot ice!
Just then Ratch leapt and grabbed Ible by her neck and said “Your friend is a prisoner now! Hahahahaha!”
Chapter 7 – What shall we do!?
That night Silt and Jast were all miserable. Mostly because they had lost Ible. Silt said “I’m going through the portal again.”
“Yeah, me too, we might be able to find her.” replied Jast. They started running to the portal and into the white corridors.
“Have you still got the map, Silt?” asked Jast.
Silt fumbled around in one of his five pockets and replied “I think I’ve got it somewh- Here!”
On the map it showed lots of interesting places but nobody could see where Ible might be! Then Silt looked in all four corners of the map and on the fourth one there was a small sign showing a barred window! Silt realised it must be the prison cells! Silt said “There are the cells! It might be where Ible is being kept as a prisoner!”
“Yeah, let’s check it out!” replied Jast.
When they got to the prison cells they realised the prisoners were probably having each cell to themselves so they had to knock down every cell to get all the prisoners out. First of all Jast chose a random cell and Silt burnt it. Then Jast crushed it with an ice-fist! Inside the cell, it looked like… An empty shed made out of iron?
Suddenly a familiar voice said “Master? Is it you?”
“Ible! But why do you call the hamsters Master?” asked Jast.
“I’m not calling the hamsters master, I’m calling the Evil Professor Dark Master!” replied Ible.
“But do you have to?” asked Silt. Ible stared at the door and replied “Yes, I have to. He said if I don’t he’ll roast me alive and feed me to the hamsters!”
Jast paused for a moment and said “I think he is also the master of the hamsters.”
Suddenly they heard a growl that sounded too familiar!
“Run!” shouted Silt.
Chapter 8 – The Portal!
“Back to the portal!” whispered Jast.
They whizzed round the corner just quick in enough to see Ratch laughing on the other side!
Silt saw what Ratch meant! The portal was gone!
“This way guys, there’s a hole there and we might be able to squish in!” whispered Silt. Inside the hole, it was a bit damp and dark but otherwise cosy!
“Make yourself comfy, we might be in here for weeks” grumbled Jast.
“Look on the bright side of this!” said Ible
“I can see the bright side but I’m not on the bright side!” replied Jast.
“Just go to sleep guys, we’ve got a long day ahead of us.” said Silt.
Chapter 9 – The Lab
The next day Silt, Ible, and Jast had to guard the hole in case a hamster spotted them in the hole. Luckily they didn’t know about the hole so the kids were safe from them.
“Can you take that map out again, I want to see it?” asked Jast. Silt looked at the map and suggested,
“Shall we go to the lab?”
“As long as we don’t get caught again!” replied Jast laughing.
Getting out was harder than getting in because there was flaps of strange fabric sticking inwards but eventually they got out. They ran all the way to the lab without being spotted! Inside the lab it was completely white. On the table there was the mutant serum! Silt decided to pocket the serum just in case it might be helpful in some kind of way. When everybody had a look around they started to get bored.
“Shall we go back?” asked Silt.
Everybody agreed. What else?
When they got back, Jast found three ants.
Chapter 10 – The Monsters
“I’m bored!” said Jast. Silt thought for a while and decided it was time to show the serum to the others.
“Look, when we went to the lab I found this serum which will turn things mutant.”
“Shall we feed it to the ants I’ve got? We might get our own little Monsters” suggested Jast.
Silt agreed so they fed the serum to the ants and they started to grow! After that, three ants were ready for battle!
“I vote we charge at the hamster and kill them now!” said Jast.
“No, we have to find out more about this place” replied Silt.
Just then a bad thought struck him!
“Suppose all mutants are bad?” said Silt.
Then the ant no. 1 said
“No, only the mutants created by evil people are evil.”
Chapter 11 – Mutant Information
“Any mutant species created by the serum will be fed the information about how to survive and all the secrets of mutants” said the Ant no. 1.
“Please tell us!” begged Ible.
“Of course! You’re our master!” said the ants.
“First of all when a mutant is created a stone is created too. The mutant will protect it because if it gets destroyed the mutants are destroyed but there is one way to destroy the stone.” Explained the third ant.
“What do you mean there’s one way?” asked Jast.
“I mean there’s one way to destroy the stone without harming the mutant.” said the second ant.
“And what’s that?” asked Jast.
“If you drop the stone into the serum it will disappear!” said the ants.
Suddenly there was a creak! All 5 of them moved in the direction of the sound. What they didn’t know was that there was a roof of an underground cavern just below their feet! As the last ant started to search for the noise, the weight of all of them made the roof collapse!
Then they saw a dazzling stone guarded by an electro-fence and the stone was imprisoned in a prism of laser-beams
“How are we going to get the stone?” asked Jast.
Just then Ible blasted the electro-fence with water and it short circuited so after a few seconds it went kabloom!
“With our powers of course!” replied Ible. So they all sat on their ant and combined there powers and blasted the prism of laser beams into pieces! The ants held the stone carefully between their mandibles!
“Oh, I forgot, Ants can I have your stone?” asked Silt.
“What for master?” asked the ant alarmingly.
“Just for the serum to swallow.” explained Silt.
“Oh, I need the serum too” said Silt while taking the serum out of his pocket.
“Okay, 1…2…3!” Everybody looked in astonishment as the stone disappeared when it touched the liquid in a puff of green smoke.
“Oh also,” said the 2nd ant, “the only way to destroy the mutant as well, is to destroy the stone with the dagger of doom which is in a vault at the side of the lab. The vault is never locked or checked upon but it is heavily guarded by the EMHs”
“OK then. Next stop: Lab!” shouted Jast.
Chapter 12 – The last battle for the EMHs
They all charged down the corridor, children on ants, ants on feet, taking no notice that the hamsters would be on alert 5 light years away with this racket! Meanwhile, in the lab, the EMHs were practically bursting their ear drums with this “unexpected noise”. They were even more surprised when the children rammed the door down with their mutants! Quickly losing the element of surprise, the children found hamsters pouncing, snarling, biting, and scratching everywhere!
The battle was on!
Everything started to go a little “battle” crazy! After a few minutes, the children had a small advantage because the EMHs had lost two men from the ten. One tripped up on a toilet roll (wonder why that was there?) and almost drown himself in the liquid-chemical tank while the other one set off a trap that was meant for the children which poured smelly acid all over him! Eventually, the only hamster left unharmed was Ratch, who, without a second glance, ran off! Talk about cowards! Getting to the vault was easier done than said because it was right in front of them. The first thing they did was destroy the stone in case any of the hamsters had recovered. Then they found Prof. Dark’s shrinking ray and shrunk the ants, still in their mutant forms, small enough to fit in their pockets.
Then Jast has a terrible thought. They couldn’t get back home without the Portal. Silt, reading his mind, smiled and said, “When I opened the vault, I found something! The Portal!”
So they all put the Portal against the wall and jumped through it! Guess what!? They were back home!
Meanwhile, Ratch was fading but he managed to say, “They have defeated us, Master.” when Prof. Dark arrived at the lab. Furious with the children when Ratch faded away, Prof. Dark screamed “I vow to have revenge!”
“You won’t survive our next meeting !…”
